Young five-piece The Future’s Dust doesn’t even try to hide its major influences. Without copying their beloved examples, it’s not hard to hear that this band from Leeuwarden loves the dark, atmospheric soundscapes by James Blake and The xx. And they also listened a lot to the songs of Bon Iver and darlings of 2012 Alt-J. The Future’s Dusts creates its own compelling sound from these influences, full of echoing drums, resonating basses, atmospheric guitars and dreamy synths. A solid core for already beautiful haunting songs.
