Rein de Vries (born Pujon [Island of Java], former Dutch East Indies, 27 June 1942) is a Dutch singer, who enjoyed succes in The Netherlands the late 1950s and early 1960s. De Vries is the son of Dutch parents, but was born in the former Dutch colony now called Indonesia. De Vries played in bands such as The Rocking Sensation Boys, The Daggers, The Firebirds (later called The Fire-Devils). These bands were part of the so-called 'Indorock' wave: Indonesian rock & roll, tremendously popular in 'pre-Beatles' The Netherlands.
