On 22 November 1981 Muddy Waters would play a concert at the Checkerboard Lounge in Chicago, Illinois. Along with the blues legend would be some of his biggest followers, members of the Rolling Stones in Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood and unofficial Stones member, keyboardist Ian Stewart. It is here where the bootleg Muddy Waters & Rolling Stones collaboration album "Sweet Home Chicago" was made. The album became widely popular as it would become one of the last performances of Muddy Waters' career.
