メロキュア (MELOCURE) was a duo composed of Ritsuko Okazaki (岡崎律子) and Megumi Hinata (日向めぐみ). Formed in 2002, the duo released several singles and in 2003, released their first album entitled melodic hard cure in 2004. This album contained several songs used as anime themes including Itoshii Kakera, Meguriai (UFO Princess Valkyrie), 1st Priority, and Himawari (Stratos 4). On May 5, 2004, Ritsuko suddenly passed away of septic shock (infection of the blood), effectively disbanding the group.
