Βασίλης Παπακωνσταντίνου [Vasilis Papakonstantinou] (b. 1950) is a Greek singer. He was born in a little village in Arkadia, though his family moved to Athens in 1957. He began singing at the age of twenty, and after his military service in 1973 he went to Munich, Germany, to participate and sing at anti-dictator rallies attended by many Greeks. In 1974 he met Μίκης Θεοδωράκης [Mikis Theodorakis] in Paris, and two years later they began to collaborate.
